So how was your season?
I had a fun season and had an opportunity to set up on and work several birds. I took part in approximately 10 hunts and watched two make fatal
decisions. On the other 8 hunts the birds won, although in almost every of these 8 hunts when I/we didn't bring home a bird, it was still an
enjoyable hunt. I/we saw legal birds inside or just on the edge of gun range, with several birds that worked their way in, but would hang up just a
few steps before a real good shot presented itself.
It kind of reminded me of my earlier years of turkey hunting, when I would often hear 3 or more different birds gobbling in the morning, but would
make more mistakes than the gobblers did.
What do you think of this year's season?

Sounds like a great season Joe. To be honest, this was the first year in 5 or 6 seasons that we actually had birds on our place. Adam was able to get
a nice mature gobbler. Although I was not able to hunt I did enjoy getting up early and hearing the not too distant sounds of them while having
coffee.
Good job.

Tagged my first Gobbler on my property, in 13 years!
Turned out to be my best-ever, too...so I had an excellent season.
Didn't fill tag #2, though...

weather stunk on most of the days I was able to get out. I was able to get one of my 2 birds with the time I had to hunt. Kansas was cccooolllddd and
windy but 3 of us took 4 birds out there. I have high hopes for good weather and good gobbling in Nebraska next week.
