Places where the Missouri Wildlife Code assists Disabled Vets
All of this information can be reviewed at the following website address or in any hard copy of the Missouri Wildlife Code. http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3c10-5.pdf
I will also add the page where it can be found in the physical Code Books you can pick up from local permit vendors. This information is current as
of March 1, 2011. Also note, I am skipping around, only including sections relavent to assisting Disabled Veterans.
I feel this information is under-utilized, and it is information that needs to be more readily available to disabled vets nation-wide.
My comments are noted in BOLD. Other text is directly copied from the above website address.

Page 28 in the 2011 Missouri Wildlife Code Book:
(O) Any honorably discharged military
veteran having a service-related disability of
sixty percent (60%) or greater, or who was a
prisoner of war during military service, may
take fish, live bait, clams, mussels, turtles,
and frogs as provided in Chapter 6 without
permit (except trout permit or daily tag in
areas where prescribed), and may take
wildlife as provided in Chapter 7 without permit
(except deer and turkey hunting permits
and the Migratory Bird Hunting Permit and
Conservation Order Permit as prescribed);
provided, while hunting or fishing, s/he carries
a certified statement of eligibility from
the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
What this means: Any means ANY. Resident or Non-resident meeting the above requirements.

3 CSR 10-5.220 Resident and Nonresident
Permits
(4) Any honorably discharged military veteran
having a service-related disability of sixty
percent (60%) or greater, or who was a prisoner
of war during military service, may purchase
resident permits; provided, while purchasing
and exercising permit privileges such
person must carry a certified statement of eligibility
from the U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs.
What this means: Even if you are not a resident of Missouri, if you meet the above requirements, you can purchase resident Missouri Deer
Hunting Permits, Turkey Hunting Permits, Migratory Bird Hunting Permit and Conservation Order Permit as prescribed by meeting the above
requirements.
I would recommend when using this section for deer, turkey, migratory bird or conservation order permits, that you carry a Wildlife Code Book with you
to the permit vendor with these pages marked, so you can show them this information to prevent any confusion. Confusion can also be prevented by
purchasing your permit from a Missouri Department of Conservation Office when using this section of the Wildlife Code.
